My name is Angela Boote, and I’m the Community Liaison Officer for Worcestershire/Gloucestershire on Severn Trent’s new Mains Renewal programme. As part of this initiative, we’ll be replacing 870 miles of mains pipe across our regions to help secure a reliable water future and invest in our communities for generations to come.
Over the next five years, we’ll be working across all nine of our regions. One of the first areas identified for renewal is in Tenbury Wells and the surrounding areas, Newnham Bridge & Knighton On Teme where the existing mains have been showing signs of age and causing bursts and supply issues.
We understand that this work may cause disruption, particularly due to necessary road closures, so we wanted to share the detail with you.
Project Timeline & Locations:
We are looking to start the project in your local area in August 2026 and due to complete March 2027
We are inviting the local community to an event to share the maps and work schedules we will be working on and to support them with any enquires they may have about the works. We have invited the Highways to come along and support us. It would be great if you could join us for the event:
The Old Hunting Lodge at The Talbot, Newnham Bridge, Tenbury Wells
